Banking Network Suriname N.V. (BNETS) is al ruim 15 jaar een belangrijke speler in de financiële sector van
Suriname. De ontwikkeling van het elektronisch betalingsverkeer en het faciliteren van financiële dienstverleners
staat voor ons centraal. Naast het beheer van het interbancair netwerk en payments systemen, bieden wij ook

Voor de versterking van haar organisatie is BNETS op zoek naar een innovatieve Applications Operator.
FUNCTIEPROFIEL
• Je draagt zorg voor en biedt ondersteuning aan het technische en functionele beheer van de applicaties en
databases die door BNETS worden gebruikt.
• Je bent medeverantwoordelijk voor het waarborgen van de continuïteit, functionaliteit en security van deze
applicaties en databases.
• Je ondersteunt de gebruikers zodanig dat deze optimaal gebruik kunnen maken van applicaties en databases.
• Je denkt bij complexere IT-projecten mee en doet voorstellen voor applicaties en/of applicatieaanpassingen.

JOUW BELANGRIJKSTE WERKZAAMHEDEN ZIJN ONDER ANDERE
• Het ondersteunen bij de installatie, het beheer en het onderhoud van systeem specifieke applicaties zoals e-mail, O365, MDM en Management Informatie Systemen.
• Het technisch en functioneel beheren van de databases binnen BNETS.
• Het voordragen van voorstellen die de efficiëntie, functionaliteit en toepasbaarheid van applicaties verbeteren.
• Het up-to-date houden van de applicaties en waar nodig aanpassingen plegen om de match met de gebruikersbehoefte te vergroten.
• Het ondersteunen en adviseren van de gebruikers met betrekking tot de werking en mogelijkheden van de
applicaties.
• Het signaleren van knelpunten en analyseren van applicatie issues en komen met oplossing- en verbetervoorstellen.
• Goed op de hoogte zijn van updates en/of nieuwe toepassingen van de applicaties, zodat ook de gebruikers
hierover goed geïnformeerd kunnen worden.
• Het begeleiden van informatie systeemwijzigingen en ondersteunen bij eventueel bijbehorende implementatietrajecten.
• Ondersteunen bij het opstellen en onderhouden van documentatie met betrekking tot het gebruik, de toepassingen en procedures behorende bij de applicaties.

Voor deze functie verwachten wij dat je zowel in teamverband als zelfstandig optimaal kan functioneren. Daarnaast moet je IT-gerelateerde vraagstukken kunnen analyseren. Je hebt een professionele werkhouding door alles goed te plannen en te organiseren en hierdoor resultaatgericht te werken. Je hebt een proactieve houding en bent in staat out of the box te denken en met creatieve oplossingen te komen. Daarnaast ga je zeer vertrouwelijk om met informatie en lever je kwalitatief goed werk af.


FUNCTIEVEREISTEN
• Minimaal afgerond MBO (NATIN) werk- en denkniveau op ICT gebied.
• In het bezit van een geldig BE Rijbewijs.
• Kennis hebben van Microsoft Office applicaties, Office365 beheeromgeving, MDM, database/SQL kennis, ITIL
procedures, ITSM systemen, besturingssystemen, programmeertechnieken en PC-software en pre kennis van
bancaire systemen.
• Tenminste 3 jaar werkervaring in een soortgelijke functie.

Vacature: CCB/CSU Procurement Consultant

Background of this search: Country Office Suriname (CSU) is looking for a procurement consultant to support our operations in the country.

The team’s mission: CSU works in collaboration with IDB partners to support the Executing Agencies, in the project’s design, implementation and closure, as well as in their efforts to strengthen their fiduciary systems.

What you’ll do:

  • Promote a forward-looking and adaptive mindset that embraces change and disruption as an opportunity to improve the way we work.
  • Improve operational, corporate and individual decision making through the sharing of business intelligence, relevant data, and analysis.
  • Bring innovation to the Bank’s operational and corporate work, incorporating and applying new technologies to facilitate efficient and effective development solutions.
  • Encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing with other fiduciary, operations and sector specialists, units, borrowers and third parties on all aspects of the Bank fiduciary policies, procedures and experiences.
  • Provide technical advice in project design and execution on fiduciary related matters including the selection of procurement methods, handling of protests and matters of contention raised by borrowers, bidders and other Bank stakeholders.
  • Propose comprehensive solutions to strengthen borrowers’ fiduciary systems using internationally accepted methodologies and evaluate project risks as well as the institutional capacity of the Executing Agencies.
  • Support the fiduciary supervision of projects, draw independent conclusions and formulate authoritative recommendations to the borrower and the Bank.
  • Provide inputs and carry out preventive reviews and ex-post supervision of Bank operations to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Any other assignments that fall within the scope of the fiduciary procurement duties.

What you’ll need:

  • Citizenship: You are either a citizen of Suriname or a citizen of one of our 48-member countries with residency or legal permit to work in Suriname.
  • Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB Group.
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Engineering, Law, Business Administration, or other relevant discipline.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of relevant experience in public/project or private sector procurement, working in procurement in an international organization, or in projects funded by international organizations.
  • Languages: You are proficient (oral and written) in English and in, at least, another of the IDB’s official languages (French, Portuguese or Spanish).

Vacature: ITE/ITO IT Local support Consultant at the Country Office in Suriname

Background of this search:

The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) consists of 26 country offices throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. The ITE department has the need of a consultancy to provide and maintain a reliable and efficient IT environment at the Country Office (Representation) in Suriname.

The IT Support Service includes:

User support – Comprising the required services to support local and international staff, contractors, and staff on mission in the use of computers, telecommunications, and office equipment.  In addition, limited support to visitors using their own equipment inside the country office. 

Infrastructure administration – Comprising the required services to implement, manage and operate the internal network, telephone system, servers, computers, videoconference system, and external services. In addition, when applicable, building security systems.

Collaboration – Comprising the required services to assist in the processing of data, information, and new IT initiatives including training coordination when needed.

The team’s mission:

The Information Technology department (ITE) is compromised to facilitate the Bank’s mission to improve lives by delivering added value to the business by providing and maintaining a reliable and responsive IT environment in the IDB country office in Suriname. Such IT environment encompasses computers (servers, workstations and laptops), telecommunications, mobile devices, and office equipment (scanners, printers, copiers).

What you’ll do:

  1. Provide end-user support to the IDB Group personnel located at the Representation in Suriname to maximize the exploitation of the IT tools (hardware, software, connectivity, training, etc.).
  2. Assist on the maintenance of the IT Infrastructure, including workstations, servers, videoconference, telecommunications, and local providers.
  3. Collaborate on the implementation of new initiatives working as a link with other IT areas.
  4. Ensure the operational documentation is up to date and properly registered in tickets, reports, dashboards, etc. as corresponds.
